ST. ROCCO FETE SET
|
MASSES, PARADES, A BAND CONCERT AND SPORTS PROGRAM WILL CONSTITUTE THE ANNUAL TWO-DAY ST. ROCCO DAY CELEBRATION
BY BOROUGH RESIDENTS OF ITALIAN DESCENT TOMORROW AND SUNDAY.
THE OBSERVANCE IS BEING SPONSORED BY THE ALIQUIPPA MUSICAL POLITICAL ITALIAN CLUB. THE PROGRAM FOLLOWS:
SATURDAY
9:20 a.m. - High Mass at St. Titus Church by the Rev. Edward G. Zauner.
4 p.m. - Start of two-hour parade by the 14-piece MPIC band directed by Professor Joseph Faga, the parade to
cover Plan 11 and Plan 7 streets. The band will parade again at 8 p.m.
SUNDAY
7:45 a.m. - Start of parade by MPIC band lasting until 9 a.m. 8:00 a.m. - The 36-piece band of Carlo D’Atri, of
West Aliquippa, will join the parade 8:45 a.m. - High Mass at St. Titus Church 10:00 a.m. - Parade to Plan 11
5:30 p.m. - Band concert 5:30 to 7 p.m. - Sports program; band concerts through evening. Four $25 Defense
Bonds will be awarded.
