Festa di San Rocco 1940 The Aliquippa Gazette THE ONLY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED ON THE SOUTH SIDE Aliquippa, PA., Thursday, August 15, 1940 ST. ROCCO’S FETE STARTS ON SATURDAY        A program of band music, fireworks and a parade will highlight the sixteenth annual celebration of St. Rocco Days, at Fourth avenue, Plan 11, Saturday and Sunday.        The display of fireworks is slated for Saturday at 11 p.m. A high mass in honor of the Catholic Saint will be heard Sunday at 8:45 a.m. at the St. Titus church. After mass, a parade will start from the Polish hall and wind through Plan 11 streets.        Prizes will be awarded at sports events Sunday afternoon.        Louis Grossi is chairman of the fete. He is assisted by Cesare Biancucci, Tony Montini and Ugo Alviani.
