In Afternoon A Program of Sports Will Be Carried Out On Plan 11
and Prizes Are To Be Awarded The Winners


       Saturday and Sunday, August 15th and 16th are to be gala days with the members of the Italian Political Republican Citizens Club of Woodlawn, as this will be the occasion for the celebration of their first anniversary of organization.

       On Saturday, August 15th, the Italian Political Republican Citizens club will honor St. Rocco’s holiday by holding high mass at St. Titus’ church in the morning at 9:30 o’clock, Rev. J. J. Greaney being the celebrant.

       Headed by the Woodlawn band, of which Philip Refici is the leader, the members of the Italian organization will march from their hall on Plan 11 to St. Titus’ church and after the mass march back to the Plan 11 hall where dinner is to be served at the noon hour.

       In the afternoon, there is to be a program of races and other sport events on Plan 11, this feature to be held between 3:30 and 4:00 o’clock. Prizes are to be given to the winners. Saturday evening at 10:30 o’clock there is to be an elaborate display of fireworks on Plan 11, which will complete the day’s program. Band concerts will feature the festivities throughout the day and evening on Plan 11.

       The Italian Political Citizens club of Woodlawn has a membership of 200 with the following officers in charge:
PRESIDENT - JAMES PIROLI
VICE PRESIDENT - LEO ANDREOZZI
SECRETARY - FRANK ROSSI
TREASURER - SAM RUSCITTI
BAND LEADER - PHILIP REFICI
